Wayman is a native Jacksonian. He was educated in Madison County Schools and is a graduate of South Side High School. He furthered his education with a B.A. degree from Union University and an M.Ed. degree from Memphis State University. He taught high school English, journalism and music in area schools for thirty years, retiring in 2002. Wayman and his wife Cathy have two sons and two grandsons. His hobbies include music, gardening, and computing. He is a graduate of T.R.E.E.S (Tennessee Real Estate Education System) and completed thirty hours of post-license real estate education. Professional real estate affiliation includes Jackson Area Association of Realtors (J.A.A.R), Tennessee Association of Realtors (T.A.R.), and the National Association of Realtors (N.A.R.).
