Joey has lived in Jackson his entire life. He is married to his high school sweetheart, the former Susan Hamilton of Jackson for over 26 years. They have five children, Kyle a 24 year old Graduate from Lambuth University, Allison a 21 year old attending Jackson State Community College, Ginger 18, a senior at Northside High School, Cody a 14 an eight grader at Northeast Middle School and the newest member Gabrial 18 months old. That’s right you read it right. Gabriel came along right after I finished playing on Lambuth’s team. Joey worked at Tom Lawler’s Inc., Office Outfitters, with his family for over 25 years. During those years he worked as a sales representative and the last 15 years as a partner in the business. He finished his fall 2003 semester at Lambuth University with a 3.0 GPA majoring in Business Administration, while playing on the football team with his son Kyle. Since college football Joey has been on a speaking tour. With talk show stops in Memphis, Nashville, TN, Alabama, Missouri and Florida. Numerous Sports Talk shows in New York City, Syrcuse, Cincinnati, Santa Carla, CA, and Jackson, TN. Also included are many talks with Churches and schools over the southeastern United States. Joey’s football story has appeared in over 70 national publications plus Canada. He was also features on a full-story in the National Enquire.
